DRDO SSPL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

The Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released an official notification inviting applications for Apprenticeship Training 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

The recruitment is open for ITI, Diploma, and Graduate Apprentices across multiple engineering, science, and general disciplines. A total of 41 apprenticeship positions are available for a one-year training programme at SSPL, Delhi.

Qualification

Regular Degree with First Division in the relevant discipline.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Have passed the qualifying examination as a regular student.
• Secure First Division in the qualifying examination.
• Have passed during 2022 to 2026.
• Candidates who passed before 2022 are not eligible.

Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per Government of India Apprenticeship Rules applicable to the respective category of apprentice.

Training Duration

• 12 Months (One Year)

The apprenticeship training will be conducted at SSPL, Delhi.

Mandatory Portal Registration

Candidates must register on the appropriate apprenticeship portal before applying.

Graduate & Diploma Apprentices

Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) Portal.

ITI Apprentices

Register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) Portal.

The NATS/NAPS enrolment number must be mentioned in the application form.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

• Screening of applications
• Academic merit
• Verification of eligibility
